Talked with an interior design firm in Savannah, GA today...they are doing a show house for Paula Deen...her Christmas Cottage...they are interested in seeing some of my pieces...HOORAY!!!

Beach Time

Just got back from a few days on the gulf coast...I always find it to be an experience of renewal...there is something about the surf, sun and sand that soothes my soul.

Last night I started painting my first canvas of the year...

Baby Steps

Started digging out my art supplies yesterday and have a new canvas on display. Cannot wait to get my hands dirty with paint again. First, I need to get my brain in gear and IMAGINE!!!!

Beginning again....

When I titled my previous post, I guess I really had no idea how true it would be only a few days later....it has been a traumatic Christmas. But, the holidays are behind us...and I am ready to seize the New Year...even if my legs are a little wobbly. I am about to get my sea legs on my constantly changing life...I am starting to feel the urge to paint again...especially after receiving a check from Southern Living yesterday. Alas...I am not purely motivated by creativity...but also from neccessity and dare I admit it...GREED!!!!!!

Beginnings

My daughter, Bess, who is an avid blogger...challenged me to start my own blog...knowing that I am technology challenged. Never one to walk away from a challenge, this is my humble (hopefully not laughable) beginning. It's a delightfully dreary day..cold, rainy, dark...but it matches my mood today. Hopefully, the influx of cold will bring with it Christmas cheer.....
